Deviled beef and lettuce sandwich recipe

Chop remains of cold cooked beef very fine. For each pint of beef add:
  • 1 tablespoonful of tomato catsup/ketchup
  • a dash of cayenne
  • 2 tablespoonfuls of melted butter
  • 1 teaspoonful of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoonful of paprika and 
  • 1 tablespoonful of onion juice.

Rub to a paste and put between thin slices of buttered bread covered on the inside with crisp lettuce or cress.
